Museum of Confectionery Art and Technology, Sulmona

At the Pelino Confectionery Factory, the Museum of Confectionery Art and Technology has been established to document the ancient candy-making that made Sulmona famous worldwide. The rooms exhibit machines and tools for confectionery production, merit diplomas and factory patents, as well as antique and valuable candy boxes. Several rooms showcase the evolution of working tools; in particular, an 18th-century laboratory has been reconstructed. Through engravings and drawings, visitors get a comprehensive overview of the confectionery industry from the Middle Ages to today.
