The museum space is divided into two sections: in the first, educational section, branches of coral from different origins and types are presented, along with ancient fishing methods, traditional tools for processing, numerous necklaces in various cuts and styles, and the markets to which they were and still are destined.

A space is also dedicated to cameo carving: the shells, the tools, the stages of processing, and the finished objects provide visitors with a complete and comprehensive overview of this very special art.

The second section is dedicated to jewelry: more than 300 objects in coral, cameos, and lava stone are on display, representing rare and refined production from the early 19th century to the 1940s.

The route is accompanied by a rich collection of documents and photographs illustrating the company’s activities and its numerous awards for the quality and originality of its jewelry.

The Ascione Museum is located on the 2nd floor of the main facade of the Galleria Umberto I in Naples and occupies most of it. This allows for an exceptional view of some of the city’s most exclusive and historically rich places: from the museum’s balconies, the stucco reliefs on the facade of the San Carlo Theatre are almost “within reach” and so are the famous marble sculptures by Carlo Nicoli that solidly support the large windows of the main halls.
