Opened at the end of 1994 by the initiative of three collectors, G. Corvatta, G. Savorelli, and A. Zaghini, who brought together their collections in a single exhibition context, since 2005 the museum has occupied a new and larger location just outside Rimini, where the evolution of the motorcycle from the beginning of the century to today is traced and on display are 250 motorcycles representing over 60 Italian and foreign brands, made from the late nineteenth century to the 1980s. The museum is accompanied by a documentary, photographic, and illustrative apparatus and also serves as a documentation center. Unique in its kind, this gallery of motorcycle history was first located in Cerasolo di Coriano before moving to Rimini in 1996, where it remained at number 11 Via Casalecchio until December 2003. The structure later became insufficient to house the collection, so a new location was considered. Only five kilometers from the previous site, the museum now consists of two buildings: a fully restored farmhouse and a more modern and functional design structure. Besides offering a journey through two wheels, collected in four large rooms, organized chronologically by thematic areas, the complex aims to be a point of reference for Italian and foreign motorcyclists. Rooms for meetings and guest entertainment have been prepared, and with the same goal many initiatives are promoted to spread the history of the motorcycle and enhance the cultural-touristic offer. The monthly market, organized since 1994 in the spaces in front of the exhibition center, has also returned regularly.
