Inaugurated at the end of 1994 by the initiative of three collectors, G. Corvatta, G. Savorelli, and A. Zaghini, who brought together their collections in a single exhibition context, since 2005 the museum has occupied a new and larger venue just outside Rimini, where the evolution of the motorcycle from the beginning of the century to the present day is traced and on display, representing over 60 Italian and foreign brands, are the 250 motorcycles made from the late 19th century to the 1980s. A documentary, photographic, and illustrative apparatus accompanies the museum, which also functions as a documentation center. Unique in its kind, this gallery of motorcycle history was initially located in Cerasolo di Coriano before moving to Rimini in 1996, where it remained at number 11 Via Casalecchio until December 2003. The facility later became insufficient to house the collection and therefore a new location had to be found. Only five kilometers from the previous site, the museum now consists of two buildings: a fully restored farmhouse and a more modern and functional designed structure. In addition to offering a journey among two-wheeled vehicles, collected in four large halls, arranged chronologically by thematic areas, the complex aims to represent a point of reference for Italian and foreign motorcyclists. Rooms for meetings and guests’ entertainment have therefore been prepared, and with the same goal, numerous initiatives are promoted to spread the history of the motorcycle and enhance the tourist-cultural offer. The monthly market, organized since 1994 in the spaces in front of the exhibition center, has also returned at the usual frequency.
