Inaugurated at the end of 1994 on the initiative of three collectors, G. Corvatta, G. Savorelli and A. Zaghini, who joined their collections in a single exhibition context, since 2005 the museum has occupied a new and larger location just outside Rimini, where the evolution of the motorcycle from the beginning of the century to the present day is retraced and on display, representing over 60 Italian and foreign manufacturers, the 250 motorcycles made from the late nineteenth century to the 1980s. A documentary, photographic and illustrative apparatus accompanies the museum, which also serves as a documentation center. Unique of its kind, this gallery of motorcycle history was first set up in Cerasolo di Coriano before arriving in Rimini in 1996, where it remained at number 11 Via Casalecchio until December 2003. The structure then became insufficient to contain the collection and therefore a new location had to be considered. Only five kilometers from the previous location, the museum now consists of two buildings: a fully restored farmhouse and a structure with a more modern and functional design. In addition to offering a journey through two-wheelers, gathered in four large rooms, arranged chronologically by thematic areas, the complex intends to represent a point of reference for Italian and foreign motorcyclists. Rooms have therefore been prepared for meetings and guest entertainment, and with the same objective numerous initiatives are promoted to spread the history of motorcycles and enhance the tourist-cultural offer. The monthly market, organized since 1994 in the spaces in front of the exhibition center, has also returned with its usual frequency.
