The countless number of artifacts, impossible to contain in a single location and to which some donations have been added over time, such as the archaeological collection of “Lillo-Rapisaldi,” are housed in two venues, the Addazi Palace and the adjacent Lodispoto Palace.
The rich collection of the Museum of the Archdiocese of Trani is divided into several sections. In the Lodispoto Palace there is the “Benedetto Ronchi” Stone Section featuring artifacts spanning a timeframe from the 6th century AD to the 18th century AD. In a small room, you can admire the Chapter Treasure containing liturgical objects.
On the second floor of the building, works by the Archbishops of the Diocese are displayed, dating from the 14th century AD to the present day. The “Lillo-Rapisaldi” Archaeological Section includes prehistoric artifacts from the 6th to 2nd millennium BC.
In the Addazi Palace is the Painting Section, exhibiting paintings originally from the Cathedral of Trani.
