“The museum is housed in the ancient 15th-century Dominican convent and was founded on December 22, 1988, by the will of archpriest Onofrio Brindisi. It hosts works originating from the entire Vibo Valentia area, dating between the 15th and 19th centuries, such as: the bronze statues by Cosimo Fanzago (Clusone, 1591 – Naples, 1678), coming from the Certosa di Serra San Bruno, and the two surviving statues of the “”Gagini Triptych””. Inside the rooms, some paintings attributed to Monteleone and Neapolitan painters are also exhibited; ancient missals; richly crafted sacred vestments; and many liturgical objects, among which stand out the fine silverware of the Neapolitan school, including the mitre of St. Leoluca by Mattia Condursi, dated 1854. ”
