“Aware of the strong social importance and cultural relevance, the Municipality of San Paolo di Civitate: – with Municipal Council resolution no. 232 of November 20, 1986, requests authorization from the Superintendency for Archaeological Heritage of Puglia and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage to keep a deposit of archaeological finds in the municipal property located on Via XX Settembre; – with Municipal Executive Committee resolution no. 112 of February 23, 1994, decides to establish a permanent archaeological exhibition in the premises of the former Convent of Sant’Antonio di Padova; with note prot. 7564 of 10/07/1994, the Ministry of Cultural and Environmental Heritage authorizes the exhibition of archaeological materials. The materials are transferred to the premises of the former Convent of Sant’Antonio di Padova (in accordance with the resolution of the Municipal Executive Committee) considered more suitable to host the archaeological exhibition; – with Municipal Council resolution no. 8 of February 29, 1996, establishes the Archaeological Museum of San Paolo di Civitate”
