Set up in 1971 in the ground floor and basement rooms of Palazzo D’Avalos, a sixteenth-century palace. The Museum was inaugurated in 1981 and is divided into five sections. On the ground floor are exhibited contemporary period artifacts, while in the basement are those from the modern, medieval, Roman, and pre-Roman eras.
