“Cosciente della forte valenza sociale e rilevanza culturale, il Comune di San Paolo di Civitate: – with resolution of the City Council no. 232 of November 20, 1986 requests, to the Superintendence for Archaeological Heritage of Puglia and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, authorization to hold a deposit of archaeological finds in the premises owned by the municipality located in via XX Settembre; – with resolution of the Municipal Council no. 112 of February 23, 1994 establishes a permanent archaeological exhibition in the premises of the former Convent of Sant’Antonio di Padova; with note prot. 7564 of 10/07/1994, the Ministry of Cultural and Environmental Heritage authorizes the exhibition of archaeological materials. The materials are transferred to the premises of the former Convent of Sant’Antonio di Padova (according to what was resolved by the Municipal Council) considered more suitable to host the archaeological exhibition; – with resolution of the City Council no. 8 of February 29, 1996 establishes the Archaeological Museum of San Paolo di Civitate”
