In a small village still made up of a few houses around the federician royal palace and some houses among the woods, this residence formed the new center of the town. The modernity of the palace was that it itself defined the urban layout of the street, indicating the subsequent directions of growth: a double row of palaces that established the still current section of Corso Manfredi.
