In a small village still made up of a few houses around the palatium regium federiciano and a few houses among the woods, this residence formed the new center of the settlement. The modernity of the palace was that it itself defined the urban layout of the street, indicating the subsequent directions of growth: a double row of palaces that fixed the still current stretch of Corso Manfredi.
