In a small village still composed of a few houses around the palatium regium federiciano and a few houses among the woods, this residence went on to form the new center of the settlement. The modernity of the palace was that it itself defined the course urbanistically, indicating its subsequent growth directions: a double row of palaces that fixed the still current stretch of Corso Manfredi.
