Housed in the restored premises of Palazzo Marcosanti-Ripa, a building that also houses the Veggiani Archive and Collection of historical-geological nature, it represents a true “paper collection” which, despite its modest intrinsic value, allows for the consolidation of a precious and otherwise irrecoverable collective memory. It is characterized by the variety and large number of documents preserved: almanacs, recipes, brochures, postcards, stickers, religious images, fortune planets, scented barber’s calendars. The graphics and decorations follow the trends widespread between the 19th and 20th centuries that begin to affirm a standardized aesthetic whose ultimate result will be the birth of modern advertising.
