Hosted in the restored premises of Palazzo Marcosanti-Ripa, a building that also houses the Veggiani Archive and Collection of historical-geological nature, it represents a true “paper collection” which, despite its modest intrinsic value, allows the consolidation of a precious and otherwise irretrievable collective memory. It is characterized by the variety and high number of preserved documents: almanacs, recipes, brochures, postcards, trading cards, religious images, fortune planets, scented barber calendars. The graphics and decorations follow trends spread between the 19th and 20th centuries that began to establish a standardized aesthetic whose final outcome will be the birth of modern advertising.
