The Way of the Gods is a hiking trail that connects the cities of Bologna and Florence. The route stretches along the Apennines, and the path’s name likely comes from the locations it crosses: Monte Adone, Monzuno, Monte Venere, and Monte Lunario.
The trail is about 120 kilometers long and is divided into five daily stages. Starting from Bologna, you immediately pass the wonderful Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca, then continue towards Casalecchio di Reno. Upon reaching Sasso Marconi, you can admire places from past eras such as the Ponte di Vizzano, the Roman aqueduct, and the San Gherardo oasis.

Among natural areas, you will reach the evocative Nature Reserve and protected area of the Pliocene Ridge where important fossil evidence is preserved.
A historical and natural journey, among ancient chestnut trees and old constructions, including the Bosco ai Frati convent, the Trebbio Castle, and the Roman theater along with its acropolis in Fiesole.
Renaissance Florence is the cherry on top to conclude a varied trip, immersed in a historical and cultural atmosphere that is truly unique.
