The historiographical orientations proposed by the Historical Military Museum essentially correspond to the territory of the “Julian Alps,” northeast Veneto – Carinthia – Slovenia, as this territory has been at the center of epic military events due to its strategic-military position.
The Museum precedes the assets of the “Open-Air Museum,” namely the “Carinthian Forts” and the “Works of the Lictor’s Wall” (some of which are under restoration) that can be explored after the visit.
The “Multimedia and multifunctional room,” with video and audio materials, provides information on the historical periods narrated in the following rooms.
You then access the upper floor, entering the Napoleonic Wars room, followed by the room dedicated to the First World War and then the room devoted to the last world conflict.
