The historiographical orientations proposed by the Historical – Military Museum are substantially responsive to the territory of the “Julian Alps,” northeast Veneto – Carinthia – Slovenia, since this territory has been at the center of epochal war events due to its strategic-military position.
The Museum anticipates the consistencies of the “Open-Air Museum,” that is, the “Carinthian Forts” and the “Works of the Littorio Wall” (some of which are being restored) that may be subject to reconnaissance at the end of the visit.
The “Multimedia and multifunctional room,” through the aid of video-sound materials, offers information on the historical periods narrated in the following rooms.
Then access the upper floor, to the room of the Napoleonic Wars, the room dedicated to the First World War followed by the room dedicated to the last world conflict.
