Manin Chapel, Udine

In front of Palazzo Torriani, formerly Manin (17th century), stands the chapel, a jewel of Baroque art, built by Ludovico Manin in the early 18th century, probably designed by Domenico Rossi. The interior, hexagonal in shape, features fine sculptures and bas-reliefs by Giuseppe Torretti (18th century): on the walls, the Nativity of Mary, Visitation, Presentation of Jesus, Presentation of Mary; at the altar, Madonna with Child, all lively and theatrical Baroque works.
