Located inside the ancient Basilica of the Crucifix (9th century), adjacent to the Cathedral of Sant’Andrea (10th century), the Diocesan Museum houses a precious collection of sacred art objects belonging to the Cathedral’s Treasury. Silverware, liturgical vestments, crosses, chalices, reliquaries, wooden sculptures are some of the numerous items kept in the Museum. Among these, notable are: a 13th-century mitre featuring rich gold and silver embroidery with precious stones and beads; an 18th-century silver antependium composed of panels depicting the Flagellation and Crucifixion of Saint Andrew.
