Located inside the ancient Basilica of the Crucifix (9th century) adjacent to the Cathedral of Sant’Andrea (10th century), the Diocesan Museum houses a precious collection of sacred art objects belonging to the Cathedral’s Treasury. Silverware, sacred vestments, crosses, chalices, reliquaries, wooden sculptures, are some of the numerous objects preserved in the Museum. Among these are notable: a mitre from the 13th century featuring rich embroidery in gold and silver with precious stones and beads; a silver antependium from the 18th century consisting of panels depicting the Flagellation and Crucifixion of Saint Andrew.
