Located inside the ancient Basilica of the Crucifix (9th century) adjacent to the Cathedral of Saint Andrew (10th century), the Diocesan Museum houses a precious collection of sacred art objects belonging to the Cathedral Treasury. Silverware, sacred vestments, crosses, chalices, reliquaries, wooden sculptures are some of the numerous objects kept in the Museum. Among these are notable: a 13th-century mitre featuring rich embroidery in gold and silver with precious stones and beads; an 18th-century silver antependium consisting of panels depicting the Flagellation and Crucifixion of Saint Andrew.
