Diocesan Civic Museum Complex – Santa Chiara Monastery, Sulmona

In the convent adjacent to the beautiful Baroque church of Santa Chiara, rich with a valuable 14th-century fresco cycle, is set up the museum complex that houses the Municipal Art Gallery of modern and contemporary art, the result of the “Sulmona Prize,” an annual contemporary art exhibition, and the Diocesan Museum collecting sacred furnishings, processional crosses, and polychrome wooden statues from the churches of the Diocese.
