Polo museale civico diocesano – Monastero di Santa Chiara, Sulmona

In the convent adjacent to the beautiful Baroque church of Santa Chiara, rich with a valuable 14th-century cycle of paintings, there is the museum complex that houses the Municipal Art Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art, the result of the “Sulmona Prize,” an annual contemporary art exhibition, as well as the Diocesan Museum which collects sacred furnishings, processional crosses, polychrome wooden statues coming from the churches of the Diocese.
