Polo museale civico diocesano – Monastero di Santa Chiara, Sulmona

In the convent adjacent to the beautiful Baroque church of Santa Chiara, rich with a valuable 14th-century pictorial cycle, is set up the museum center that houses the Municipal Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art, the result of the “Sulmona Prize,” an annual contemporary art exhibition, and the Diocesan Museum which collects sacred furnishings, processional crosses, polychrome wooden statues coming from the churches of the Diocese.
