Established in 1996 and named after the 20th-century Bolognese artist Galileo Cattabriga (1901-1969), it houses numerous modern and contemporary paintings alongside some ancient artworks, including the ‘Saint John the Evangelist’ by Simone Cantarini, donated in 1877 to the Municipality of Bondeno by Marquis Gioacchino Napoleone Pepoli, who stayed at the villa of Stellata from 1870 to 1877. Of the entire municipal artistic heritage, which includes over two hundred works, about sixty paintings, graphic works, and sculptures are displayed in the galleries. Notable artists include Tono Zancanaro, Remo Brindisi, Nanni Tedeschi, Guglielmo Sansoni (Tato), and Carlo Rambaldi. On the ground floor, a room is dedicated to temporary exhibitions of contemporary artists. In the spaces of the Art Gallery, sculptures by Stefano Galletti, Gaetano Galvani, Giuseppe Busuoli, Luisa Bemporad, Gianni Guidi, and Riccardo Biavati are on display.
