It illustrates the role of Massa Lombarda, the capital of fruit growing and agri-food production in northern Italy, up until the late 1950s. The local presence of some of the most well-known brands of fruit juices and related products has allowed the collection of relatively recent materials. About seven hundred items are exhibited in the museum; on the first floor, there are household utensils from rural homes, materials related to land reclamation and farm structure, and the centuries-old sharecropping contract, as well as a scale model of the workspaces of an industrial laboratory for fruit juice production. The exhibition continues on the next floor with a rich collection of images and documents on the history of fruit growing from the first peach plantations dating back to 1905, including the initiatives of agronomist Bellocci and the local owner Senator Adolfo Bonvicini.
