Istituted in 1996 and named after the 20th-century Bolognese artist Galileo Cattabriga (1901-1969), it houses numerous modern and contemporary art paintings alongside some ancient paintings, including the ‘San Giovanni Evangelista’ by Simone Cantarini, donated in 1877 to the Municipality of Bondeno by Marquis Gioacchino Napoleone Pepoli who stayed at the Stellata villa from 1870 to 1877. Of the entire municipal artistic heritage, including more than two hundred works, about sixty paintings, graphics, and sculptures are exhibited in the rooms. Among the artists featured are Tono Zancanaro, Remo Brindisi, Nanni Tedeschi, Guglielmo Sansoni (Tato), Carlo Rambaldi. On the ground floor, a room is dedicated to temporary exhibitions of contemporary artists. In the Pinacoteca spaces, sculptures by Stefano Galletti, Gaetano Galvani, Giuseppe Busuoli, Luisa Bemporad, Gianni Guidi, and Riccardo Biavati are displayed.
