The Apulian Regional Ethnographic Museum 1600/1900 is housed in a building next to the Sanctuary of San Cosimo alla Macchia, about 5 km from the town of Oria. The building features a large entrance where the artifacts are displayed and three spacious exhibition halls arranged over two floors showcasing the three sections of the Museum: “Peasant World, Social Life and Lost Trades,” with photos, furniture, room reconstructions, and a vast collection of vintage newspapers and magazines. The Museum, inaugurated in 2007, was born from the love for his homeland by Mr. Gerardo Andriulo, who dedicated around 40 years of his life to collecting artifacts. Accredited as the largest in Southern Italy, with over 5000 pieces, it is among the richest in Italy.
