The Museum is housed in the Norman Castle, an imposing building located in the main square of the city of Adrano (Catania).
It exhibits materials coming both from regular excavations and occasional recoveries related to the Adrano area and other parts of central-eastern Sicily, having been, in the past, a collection point also for materials from areas different from Adrano.
Alongside the archaeological collections that form its main and foundational core, the Museum hosts a library, an archive, and a section dedicated to historical-artistic collections.
