The Museum is housed in the Norman Castle, an imposing building located in the main square of the city of Adrano (Catania).
It exhibits materials from both regular excavations and occasional recoveries related to the Adrano territory and other areas of central-eastern Sicily, having been, in the past, a collection place also for materials coming from areas other than Adrano.
Alongside the archaeological collections that constitute its main and founding core, the Museum hosts a library, an archive, and a section dedicated to historical-artistic collections.
