Aretusean Puppet Museum, Syracuse

The artistic heritage of the Vaccaro brothers, famous puppeteers from Syracuse, is showcased in this museum.

The “Vaccaro-Mauceri” association unveils the work of the Vaccaro brothers and their fantastic world, featuring Christian and Saracen knights, wizards, witches, and monstrous creatures.

A journey enriched with historical notes that trace the key points of their story, from the founding of the workshop in Vicolo dell’Ulivo to the debut of the Mauceri brothers. An open book on some evocative pages of Syracuse’s history, now available to all.
