The Diocesan Museum of the Archdiocese of Agrigento, established in 1872 by Bishop Turano, now features a new layout inside the 18th-century Archbishop’s Palace.
The displayed collection allows visitors to follow the history of the Agrigento Diocese across eight exhibition rooms, tracing back to the Christian re-evangelization after the Muslim domination, which occurred in 1087 with the Norman conquest.
