Calendula and raspberry flowers, rosemary and thyme, peppermint and cornflower: these are just some of the aromatic herbs and flowers that characterize South Tyrol. Farmers, gardeners, and biologists have been passing down the secrets of an ancient trade for years, based on knowledge of the territory – which varies in altitude and conditions – and on the strict criteria of extensive cultivation. Months of care and respect for nature lead to the harvest – mostly by hand – of the most precious flowers and herbs. And that is why in South Tyrol, the cultivation and harvesting of aromatic herbs and flowers becomes a true experience, to be lived to the fullest by breathing in the intense aromas and admiring the brilliance of the colors.
