The water taxi offers a convenient alternative, especially for getting from Logan Airport to downtown Boston: the trip across the water takes just about 7 minutes. To start, simply take the free shuttle to the City Water Taxi terminal.

Every water taxi can carry up to 30 passengers, making it ideal for both individual travel and group outings around Boston.

Service runs continuously from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, water taxis stop running two hours earlier, at 8:00 PM.

Boston Water Taxi tickets

Tickets for the city water taxi can be bought onboard or booked online. For example, a round-trip ticket between Airport/Boston/Airport costs $17, and children up to age 12 ride completely free.

Stops have been planned to help you reach the main museums, the Cruise Terminal, Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, the Naval Yard, the Provincetown ferry dock to Cape Cod, and several major Boston hotels.
