The water taxi represents a convenient alternative, for example, to reach Boston from Logan Airport: it only takes about 7 minutes to travel by water, using first the free shuttle to reach the terminus of the City Water Taxi.
Each boat used for the water taxi service can carry a maximum of 30 people at a time, making it useful both for individual trips and when touring Boston in a group.
The trips run continuously and start from 7:00 AM until 10:00 PM, Monday to Saturday. On Sunday, the service stops operating earlier, therefore at 8:00 PM.
Boston Water Taxi Tickets
The tickets for the city water taxi can be purchased on board or can be booked online. For example, a round trip Airport/Boston/Airport ride costs 17 dollars, while children under 12 years of age travel completely free.
Regarding the stops available, the service has been made useful for reaching the main museums, the Cruise terminal, the Exhibition and Congress Hall, the Naval Marina, the pier for the Provincetown ferry to Cape Cod, and some hotels in Boston.
