The statues depicting the patron saints of the major Florentine guilds, originally placed in the tabernacles outside Orsanmichele, are displayed, after being restored and replaced by copies, in the large hall on the first floor of the building, accessible through the elevated passage connecting it to the Palazzo dell’arte della Lana.

For the most part created in the second decade of the fifteenth century, the statues of Orsanmichele represent a fundamental document of Early Renaissance sculpture, to which Donatello, Lorenzo Ghiberti, Nanni di Banco, and Andrea del Verrocchio contributed, among others.

On the top floor of the building, Gothic sculptures attributed to Andrea Orcagna are preserved.
