Tra le molte things to do in Naples, here is one with timeless charm: attend the show of the Esedra Fountain.
Within the Passions Island, it is the Overseas Exhibition that allows this sparkling and enchanting opportunity to observe the marvelous water games of this monumental fountain, a true architectural gem.
The Esedra Fountain is located inside the park of the Overseas Exhibition and consists of 76 trapezoidal basins divided into four concentric semicircles, to collect the central basin.
All this extends over 37 thousand square meters of waterfalls, water movements, lights, jets, and more than 1300 nozzles. This large complex of architecture and hydraulic engineering brings to life the sinuous dances of water jets, illuminated by beams of light from more than 800 lamps for each basin, in shades of white, yellow, red, and green.

The fountain was built in 1938 and has captivated visitors ever since; it is a Naples attraction still quite unknown but deserving of greater appreciation, on par with the famous magic fountain of Montjuïc in Barcelona.
