I Danish Easter celebrations begin already with the arrival of spring, when flowers are purchased in abundance, such as primroses, daffodils, tulips, snowdrops, or hyacinths, whose bulbs will be planted in the garden at the end of the Easter rites.
One of the peculiarities of the Danish people, in fact, is the cult they have for open spaces, the care and dedication they reserve for the maintenance and embellishment of gardens.

A similar tradition is that of the Easter tree: some branches are cut from the trees and bushes in the gardens and decorated with motifs and typical Easter ornaments. Such decorations are so carefully made and particular that they are even more characteristic and pleasant than the Christmas ones.

Just as in Germany, in Denmark the Easter Bunny is also venerated and celebrated; according to popular belief, it is from this bunny that the classic and indispensable Easter eggs come: it is precisely the cute bunny that brings and scatters the delicious chocolate eggs in every corner of the house and garden of Danish families. In reality, it is the parents who hide, on the night before Easter, the colorful eggs that the children will have to find the next morning.

Adults also do not shy away from the celebrations, satisfying their palate and feasting with a special beer for the occasion, the Paskebryg. It is a type of beer that is produced and marketed exclusively during this time of year and is slightly stronger than the traditional blonde beer.
