The map of Italy’s enogastronomic memory highlights two remarkable museum realities in Trentino: the Honey Museum in Lavarone and the one called “Cose di Casa” created by the Dolzan family at their distillery in Villa de Varda in Mezzolombardo. In one of the cellars of the winery, which has been producing grappa for almost two centuries starting from the distillation of fresh fermented pomace, a museum space arranged in three sections has been set up. Here you can find agricultural carts, tools for the grape harvest and the production of wine and spirits, other farming implements as well as an important series of copper alembics, made between the 16th and 20th centuries. Among the approximately 1,600 pieces exhibited, which recall the development of Trentino agriculture and the evolution of winemaking and distillation techniques, a 16th-century copper alembic and a 17th-century wooden press stand out for their age and rarity. The ethnographic collection of the Rotaliana valley is considered one of the most complete private collections in the sector at the national level.
