The State Archives Section of Sciacca, established by Ministerial Decree on February 26, 1970, operating since 1974, is located at via Figuli, 28/30.
The initial documentary core of the Section consisted of the Notaries’ Acts of the Sciacca District, comprising 12,076 volumes, starting from 1434. Subsequently, the Section has expanded its documentary heritage by acquiring deposits from various territorial state offices, including the Direct Taxes Office, the Revenue Agency, the Notarial Archive, and the Court.
