It is set up inside the “Sella e Mosca” wine estates, in the locality of Piani di Sotgiu near Alghero. The museum represents the final stop of a broader itinerary that takes place within the complex of the flourishing Sella e Mosca wine estates. It is divided into two sections: an archaeological one and a corporate history one. The archaeological section documents the history of the “Anghelu Ruju” site, the largest prehistoric necropolis in Sardinia, discovered in 1903, included with its 38 hypogea within the grounds of the wine estate. The other section, enriched by extraordinary vintage photos by Vittorio Sella, is dedicated to the company’s history, from 1899 to 1938.
