The exhibition has been set up in a wing of the convent, near the cloister, which was originally the burial place of the friars. The vaulted-ceiling rooms preserve personal belongings and photos depicting the friar at various moments of his life, as well as the different stages of the beatification process.
There is the tombstone from the burial in the Bonaria cemetery and the remains of the coffin before the transfer of the body to the Church of Sant’Ignazio. Remarkable are the images from June 10, 1958, when a huge crowd attended the funeral.
On display are the friar’s worn vestments, the cloak, glasses, and all his modest personal items. Also present are folders containing testimonials given by people during the beatification process.
The museum also houses several bronze sculptures, all dedicated to the friar of Gesturi, whose canonization cause has been initiated.
