The figure of Leonardo Sinisgalli is certainly of great importance in the tourist-cultural interest of Montemurro. Through his diligent activity, the author collected a vast library that reflects the nature of an extraordinary man who loved Culture in all its expressions – from history to mathematics, philosophy, art, sciences, architecture, and literature – and left to posterity his desk, his portrait made by the local painter Maria Padula, and the Olivetti typewriter, a fundamental tool for crafting his prolific production of poetry, narrative works, essays, and for expressing himself in a multifaceted way as a journalist, art critic, translator, art director, documentarian, and finally as a radio author and illustrator.
