This is an important Roman-era necropolis, located about 200 meters outside the Porta Decumana, along the road that, passing through the Alpis Graia (Little St. Bernard Pass), led to Gaul. In late antiquity, during the gradual transition from pagan to Christian rites, the area was used as a cemetery until the end of the first millennium and then abandoned. Recently reopened to the public, the funerary area facing the ancient Porta Decumana has been equipped with panels that reproduce the image of the urban context of the Roman era.
