Beneath the ancient parish church of the Borgo, archaeological excavations have uncovered the early Christian cruciform basilica, known as Concilium Sanctorum, Assembly of the Saints, because it was built over the tombs of the first martyrs, buried in the Roman cemetery area, which itself was established over a protohistoric funerary settlement.
Inside, parts of the liturgical structures are visible, the reliquary platform with the tombs of the three bishops who lived between the 5th and 6th centuries (Gratus, Agnellus, Gallus) and other burial chambers dating from the 5th to 8th centuries.
