NeapolitanTrips was born from an idea by Luca Sola, a young entrepreneur from Naples, together with his brother Andrea. It’s a unique hospitality project: spread over four floors of the historic Casa del Mutilato building, right in the heart of Naples, you can choose between Hostel, Premium Hostel, Bed & Breakfast, and Hotel Royal accommodations.

Contemporary art is the common thread running through all these spaces. Photography, digital art, painting, and comics bring the city of Naples to life, telling its stories and characters and creating Italy’s very first Art Hostel.

As you walk towards the dorm rooms, you’ll be able to admire the works of eight artists (Luca Arenare, Angela Foria, Omar Mohamed, Marina Bufano, Laura Correale, Giada Piccolo, Flavia Bracale, Roberto Cavalieri), each interpreting the iconic themes of Neapolitan identity. On the bar terrace, all eyes are drawn to a site-specific mural by Iabo, a major Neapolitan street artist recognized both in Italy and internationally.

On the Premium Hostel floor, the standout feature is the series Humanhero: a project by Luca Carnevale, a young local painter who reimagines legendary Neapolitan figures as superheroes.

Massimo Troisi, Maradona, Sofia Loren, Totò, Vittorio de Sica, Pino Daniele, and many others are depicted with a pop style, transformed into American-style superheroes.

On the other floors of NeapolitanTrips, you’ll find works by Sergio Siano, including “Il Mare che bagna Napoli”, and in the B&B rooms, photographs by six Neapolitan artists (Alessandro Pierno, Enrico Napoleone, Diego Loffredo, Andrea Savoia, Luigi Lista, Paola Tufo) selected by Elisabetta Cartiere.

The permanent collection, which grows every year, is accompanied by temporary exhibitions in the common areas, each lasting about 15 days. To support emerging local talent, new exhibits are launched every Wednesday with Aperiveg #inArt, the vegan appetizer event.

NeapolitanTrips is the first Urban Tourist Village in Italy: a hospitality hub catering to every type of traveler and need. Bed & Breakfast, Hostel, Hotel Royal, and Premium Hostel— all under one roof, right in Naples’ monumental center— add up to 160 beds. The venue is the historic La Casa del Mutilato, built between 1938 and 1940 in the city center, just steps from the famous Spaccanapoli.
