The Museum illustrates the history of Italian gold deposits, with documents ranging from the 16th century to the present day, ancient and recent topographic maps, a rich specific bibliographic collection, brochures, newspapers, engravings, photographs, tools, and everyday objects. There are also samples of gold-bearing minerals and primary native gold, as well as flakes and gold dust collected from many watercourses. Furthermore, numerous stock certificates issued by mining companies active in the 19th and 20th centuries, which were involved in Italian gold mines and alluvial deposits, Swiss Italy, and the Colonies, are collected here.
