The Museum illustrates the history of Italian gold deposits, with documents ranging from the sixteenth century to the present day, ancient and recent topographic maps, a rich specific bibliographic collection, brochures, newspapers, engravings, photographs, tools, and everyday objects. There are also samples of auriferous minerals and primary native gold, as well as flakes and gold dust collected from many watercourses. In addition, numerous stock certificates issued by mining companies that between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries were interested in Italian gold mines and alluvial deposits, Swiss Italian territory, and the Colonies are gathered here.
