The “Gabriele d’Annunzio Birthplace Museum” occupies the first floor of the building where the Poet was born and spent his childhood. It still preserves the original 19th-century atmosphere, with its elegant wall decorations and period furnishings, which reappear in his work as visions, impressions, and memories, especially connected to the strong value family bonds held for him.
The visit retraces the sequence of the first five rooms, which constitute the original core of the house-museum, each accompanied by the description the Poet gives in the Notturno. The subsequent rooms are dedicated to exhibiting photos, documents, books, casts, and memorabilia representing the Poet’s figure.
